(More customer reviews)While I was at first disappointed to learn that this battery charger does not recharge super heavy duty batteries, most of our household batteries are alkalines so it wasn't a dealbreaker. It would be nice if it could, though. That said, the ReZap does exactly what it says. You can test your batteries and then recharge them over and over again--as long as the batteries are not drained down to nothing. It is a huge cost savings if you use batteries a lot. We have flameless candles, cameras, remote controls, hand held video games, etc. that all churn through batteries like nobody's business. I always recycle our spent batteries, but now I can extend their life over and over again. We've done several recharges and so far, all have done a superb job when replaced in the device. Just be forewarned that if you are a Duracell Coppertop afficionado, this unit will not recharge those batteries. We use mostly Rayovac alkalines purchased in bulk packages from Walmart and have had very good results.
