(More customer reviews)I've had this charger and batteries for a day now. Batteries get really hot, but never charge. They won't go past 1.46 volts, and understandibly so. This is a real cheap rig, I even tried a different charger which eventually charged them fully. Don't buy this item unless you are looking for a nice hand warmer. Batteries get really warm, but never charge!

(More customer reviews)I bought this specifically to recharge aaa size batteries for my noise-canceling headphones.
However, since I found it also recharges aa batteries I use it to recharge camera batteries and many others.
I like that it turns itself on and off based on individual batteries need for charge and ensures it doesn't over-charge any batteries.
I do wish it would recharge lithium batteries too, but it didn't advertise that ability, and I didn't ex[ect it.
I am very happy with this product, and would recommend it to any of my friends.

I use the top-of-line slow recharger from MAHA, and even with attempts to revive them two of four wouldn't hold a charge and my camera wouldn't even turn on with the batteries fresh from the charger.
The weight of these batteries gives you some sense that these could be subpar made - when I compare the weight of these batteries in-hand with those from another manufacturer I noticed these have half the weight of other AAs. The "CopperTop" version of these AA size batteries really lasts noticeably longer than the AA batteries Duracell used to make. I really like this because I often travel by public transportation and I use my portable CD player to listen to music. I always get several hours more use out of these CopperTop Duracell AA batteries; and that's grand!
Believe it or not, the reclosable storage pack actually does close neat and clean for you so that the batteries remaining inside the package don't get dusty or exposure to any elements if you're outside camping or something.
The 12 pack offers value, too; and that's important in these expensive times!
Use these batteries before their expiration date. The expiration date will always be several years into the future; but some people still have them lying around in a dresser drawer anyway. The problem is not only do they lose their potency; the batteries also begin to corrode. When the batteries corrode eventually a whitish powdery sticky substance begins to leak out of them and this makes a mess--trust me!
Do NOT dispose of these or ever place these in or near a fire. They could literally explode. I wouldn't carry them loose either--they should be protected in their cardboard case or they should be already installed in your portable CD player, your flashlight or whatever device you placed them into.
Overall, these Duracell CopperTop AA size batteries are the ones to choose if you need AA size batteries. I highly recommend them for any device that needs AA size batteries.

Eneloops now take care of all my needs. The flashlight still works after sitting in a drawer for months and high discharge items need less charging too... thanks to the low self-discharge rate.
Because these have such a low discharge rate spare batteries don't need to be permanently tethered to the charger. Just charge them and set them aside until needed... you'll save a bit of energy by unplugging your charger too.

(More customer reviews)What can I say? They're 20 alkalines for $5.99! Stock up! Alkalines have a shelf life of years.
I prefer rechargables. But they lose 1/3 of their power per month just sitting around, & sometimes I don't get around to the charger.
2 of these batteries ran my I-River mp3 disk player for 9 hours, & my Grundig Mini 300 World Band Reciever for about 30 hours.
My experience with alkalines is that lifetime between name brands & generics varies by such a small amount it's neglegible.

(More customer reviews)We bought about 8 or 12 of these AA batteries marked DIGITAL. They will charge and show 1.25v on a volt meter but they have no LOAD capacity. We tried running them in a remote control truck and they would not move the tires. When the load hit the batteries they failed to push the truck. I have been throwing these away. Right now I've got 2 in front of me and they are headed to the trash can. We can charge them for 2 days and they still have no load capacity.

I had this other charger that sometimes made the batterys leak, this one dosn't do that. Also, RAY-O-VAC charges in an extrodinary time not like others that take for ever and sometimes even screw up the batterys, not only that RAY-O-VAC saves you energy. So I recomend the RAY-0-VAC battery charger. Thank you for your time.

Synergy Digital-Quick Charger with Four Ultra High Power 2800 MaH AA Batteries
After placing the batteries into the charger and plugging it in, It became apparent that the word 'quick' in Quick Charger was figurative. The batteries that came with the charger took over 8 hours to charge...that led to the discovery of another feature flaw: the two color LED charge indicator. Other chargers have an indicator that changes abruptly: Red for charging, Green for charged. Some even blink the lights rapidly if the charger detects something wrong with a battery. Not so with this charger. On this charger, the LED changes GRADUALLY from red to green. And because the cheap LED has to light emitters in the same bulb, what color you can see depends on what angle you are viewing the charger from. So you have to wait until the entire LED is green to tell that the batteries are fully charged, and when I charged a second set of the same batteries (Brand, size and mAh rating were identical to the ones that came with the charger) it took nearly 12 hours.
All in all, the charger DOES work, The batteries DO last a LONG TIME (my Fuji Finepix S1500 takes four batteries, and I shot for 3 days on one set) But the charger is ANYTHING BUT quick. It should be labeled an overnight charger, because it certainly takes that long.
Buy if you want long lasting batteries, but don't expect to charge the batteries and then go on a photo shoot the same day. Charge the day before.

(More customer reviews)I read about Rayovac's patent on the I-C3 technology before this product came to market and naturally I was skeptical. A few months after it came to market I decided to try it out.
For over 6 months I've been using these batteries in our toothbrushes, cameras, electric screwdriver, remote controls, two-way radios, CD players, anything that uses AA or AAA. The product exceeds my greatest expectations.
Disregard the high cost comments. This should be viewed as an investment. I can get the batteries locally for about $3.45 each. Figuring 25 cents for an alkaline battery you recover the cost after 14 recharges. 120 recharges and you've paid for the charger.
My family loves this thing. It completely changes your view of battery operated appliances. Not one of these batteries has gone bad. I have a pocket radio that I use constantly. One charge lasts over a week. The batteries do not die suddenly. When in doubt I can top off the battery in less than 15 minutes.
We are never out of batteries and we have an entirely new mindset now that it doesn't cost anything to discharge a battery. At the same time we aren't throwing batteries in the trash can.
It is our view that a battery that costs 25 cents plus shipping and handling per use is far more expensive than one that costs 15 minutes.

(More customer reviews)Rechargable batteries have come a long way since the horrid little things that took 24 hours to charge and worked for 24 minutes. The bottom line is, anything you use that you have to replace batteries in on a regular basis, needs to be replaced with these. The initial investment will pay for itself in no time flat. I've been using a few different varieties of these NiMH batteries for a few years (with this one being the current type) and I would never be without them. Not to mention that depending upon what you're using them in, they tend to actually last longer than normal Alkaline batteries. Only drawback is still that they won't hold a charge forever though chances are you'll use it up long before the natural discarge drains it.

Regular NiMh batteries are old school; these new batteries are greener and better.
Pros:
-For a rechargeable battery, these batteries does not need to be charged before you use it for the first time
-They last a long time.
-Does not need special charger. You can use your existing NiMh charger.
Cons:
-Looks almost the same as regular Duracell alkalines except for the added color of lime green. You can confuse them with regular Duracells and mistakenly disposed away after losing charge.
-This later technology is still expensive. But you can get it on sale from time to time.
I also like Eneloops by Sanyo. But they are not easily available at your local stores unlike Duracells.
Duracells are made in Japan if it has a white top (around the positive anode) and made in China if it is black.
